Walad Madinah

Walad Madinah is a cross-media project based on the Foulane Family series.

Produced by Studio BDouin and directed by Norédine Allam, this project aims to offer Muslim families wholesome and educational entertainment.

The Foulane Family is a series created by Norédine Allam and published by BDouin. Launched in 2019 in France, the series follows the everyday life of a small Muslim family through the character of Walad, the youngest. Funny, original, and entertaining, the series presents mini-stories that always carry a moral. After all, stories are meant to help us grow! 10 illustrated volumes are already available, covering topics such as bullying, artificial intelligence, camping, business, patience, good deeds, theft, lockdown, illness, friendship, and many more!

The Foulane Family and Medina

In 2024, fifteen years after the launch of BDouin, the publishing house releases the first illustrated youth novel set entirely in the city of Medina.

Who are we?

Founded in 2009, in a small town in France, BDouin is a graphic design studio initially specialized in the world of comic books for the Muslim community. The studio is led by Norédine Allam, an author recognized in Europe, notably for his work on the Astérix series (the best-selling comic book in the world with over 370 million copies sold). The studio's headquarters is now based in Sharjah, UAE.
